About our May Half Term Sessions 2023
This information does not apply to our term-time sessions
What to expect at our sessions?
Children will be given a healthy snack at all SPLAT sessions this half term, in line with their dietary requirements, excluding SPLAT Tunstall, where a healthy meal will be provided for the children.
Sessions are for children aged 4-12 years old, sessions are for children only.
How to book?
We are only accepting bookings for our SPLAT Tunstall session, this is because this is funded by The Hubb Foundation and allows us to provide children with a healthy lunch.
Therefore booking in advance is imperative, to ensure we can meet dietary requirements.
Spaces are limited and will be on a first come, first served basis, we will be prioritising children on eligible for free school meals in the first instance, this is a funding requirement we need to adhere too.
You can book for SPLAT Tunstall here: www.splatstaffs.co.uk/may-booking-form
If your child has not attended a SPLAT Session before, you can register their details on this link below, this will save time for when you attend a SPLAT Session: www.splatstaffs.co.uk/membership-form/
Please note this is not a booking form.
Please note, booking is not required for other SPLAT Sessions, you just turn up on the day!
How much do sessions cost?
Why is the SPLAT Tunstall Session three hours and not two?
What is HAF?
The Holiday Activity Fund, is a Government initiative to support low income families, during Easter, Summer and Christmas holidays.
This holiday provision is for school aged children from reception to year 11 (inclusive) who receive benefits-related free school meals.
Benefits-related free school meals (FSM) are available to pupils if their parents are in receipt of one of the qualifying benefits, and have a claim verified by their school or local authority.
When we receive HAF funding for our holiday sessions, sessions will always be FREE.
More information regarding HAF can be found here: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/holiday-activities-and-food-programme/holiday-activities-and-food-programme-2021
Our SPLAT Tunstall session is FREE, this is due to it being funded by The Hubb Foundation. A funding requirement is that we prioritise children eligible for Free School Meals.
Do parents/carers attend with their child?
Our sessions are for children only.
My child has a support need and requires a 121 with staff?
We are really sorry, if your child has support needs and requires 121 support, unfortunately they will not be able to attend. Parents/carers will not be able to attend to support them, due to safeguarding.
If we find you have given false information, regarding the support needs of your child, staff have the right to ask you to come and collect your child immediately from the session.
We would love to support children with 121’s, however we are not able to provide this support currently.
I have submitted a booking form but have not received any confirmation?
Once you have completed a booking form, you will receive a confirmation email from us within 24 hours,Monday- Friday.
Completing a booking from, does not guarantee your child a place at our sessions.
You will need to receive a confirmation email from us, before attending.
If you have not heard back from us within 24 hours Monday-Friday, then please contact us on membership@splatstaffs.co.uk
Before contacting us, please check your junk folder, as occasionally our emails can go in to your junk folder.
I have completed a membership form for my child but have not heard back?
Once you complete a membership form for your child, this will be checked and you will receive confirmation that your child’s details have now been put on to our system.
You will receive confirmation Monday-Friday within 24 hours.
Please note: If you complete a membership form & your child attends a SPLAT Session on the same day, their details may not have been put on to our system, therefore staff may ask you to complete another form when you sign your child in at the session.
If your child is not between the ages of 4-12 years old, WE ARE NOT INSURED!
Our staff have the right to ask for proof of age for children, refuse entry, or ask you to come and collect your child immediately, if we find that children are not within the 4-12 years age range.
Unfortunately, we have had many families giving false information, regarding the age of children.
You are putting our organisation at risk as we are not insured! We will not tolerate this and will take the appropriate action.
